Challenge: Create an informative website to visualize the impact of land-use changes on water quality in Lake Sunapee, NH.

My Approach:

• Analyzed water quality data (pH, total phosphorus, turbidity) from 1986 to 2023 across 25 stations.
• Identified trends over time and created interpolation maps to visualize changes in water quality indicators.
• Performed statistical analysis to pinpoint vulnerable areas of the lake.

Results:

• Developed a website (link: https://sites.google.com/view/lakesunapeewaterqualitygis/title-and-abstract) showcasing:
  • Clear and concise water quality maps.
  • Insights into the effects of human activities on the lake’s health.
  • Valuable data for informed decision-making regarding lake protection strategies.

This project empowers the Lake Sunapee Protective Association to educate the public and advocate for measures to preserve the lake’s water quality.
